Dr. Mark Kapperman graduated in 1987 from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. Upon graduation, he was awarded Senior Outstanding Clinician Award as well as being voted Outstanding Senior by his classmates. He was involved with three different mission trips as a leader of S.V.O.S.H. (Student Volunteer Optometrists Serving Humanity) while in school.
He has served as President of the Tennessee Optometric Association as well as the Southeast Tennessee Optometric Society. In 1991 he was named Young Optometrist of the Year by the T.O.A. and in 1995 was awarded membership in the Tennessee Academy of Optometry.
Dr Kapperman began his optometric practice on Gunbarrel Road in April of 1988.
The current facility was opened in September 1995.
He lives in Chattanooga with his wife Anita, sons Conner and Cameron, and daughter Cydney.
He enjoys many outdoor activities including camping, biking and golf.

Dr. Troy White is a native of Chattanooga and a graduate of The McCallie School. He earned his B.A. degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
He is a graduate of the University of Alabama Birmingham School of Optometry. While in optometry school, Troy was a member of Fellowship of Christian Optometrists (FCO). As a member of FCO, Troy went to Mexico on a mission trip to not only meet the eyecare needs but also the spiritual needs of those in Mexico.
He started practicing with Dr. Kapperman in 1999.
He lives in Signal Mountain with his wife Melissa, daughter Anne Elise, and sons Anderson and Coleman.
Besides spending time with his family, Dr. White enjoys mountain biking, hiking playing vollyball and running to keep in shape. Dr. White and his family are members of Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church.

Dr. Rob McGarvey grew up in Massachusetts and graduated from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. He earned his master's degree from the University of Florida and was a research coordinator at the University of Georgia before attending the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis.
Before graduating from optometry school, he completed externships at Kapperman and White Eye Care and Southeast Eye Specialists in Chattanooga with a focus on children and training with a pediatric ophthalmologist.
In school, he was a member of Fellowship of Christian Optometrists (FCO) and volunteered as a mentor and tutor in the community. In 2008, he and his wife Petrina went with Dr. Kapperman to Honduras to serve in medical missions there.
He joined Kapperman and White Eye Care in 2008.
He and his wife Petrina and son Evan live in Chattanooga and are members of the North Shore Fellowship.
He enjoys mountain biking, running, hiking, reading, and gardening.

Penny started with Kapperman and White Eye Care in 1996 after moving to Chattanooga. She had worked in the eye care business in Dickson, Tennessee.
Penny is the billing expert and helps the optical team when needed. She can help resolve insurance and billing issues.
In her spare time she enjoys walking, reading and helping her husband with his ministry.

Jacki started with Kapperman and White Eye Care in 1996. She is the optometric assistant and gathers patient history and runs diagnostic tests.
Jacki has lived in 8 states but she likes Tennessee the best. In her spare time she enjoys singing in the choir, walking, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Anna moved to Chattanooga in 2006 from Mississippi where she worked in a busy ophthalmology office.
She works at the front desk and helps patients with scheduling, billing and insurance processing.
In her spare time she enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with family and friends.

Stephanie has lived in Rossville since she was five years old. She was also a patient of Dr. Kapperman for years before joining the team.
She works primarily with Dr. White as an optometric assistant and contact lens technician.
In her spare time she enjoys working with the youth at her church and spending time with family and friends.

Renee joined the team in 2007 after working in ophthalmology and optical offices in the Chattanooga area.
She is a licensed optician with more than twenty years of experience in optical retail.

Pam joined the team in 2008 after working in Florida ophthalmology offices where she was a Certified Ophthalmic Technician.
She works primarily with Dr. Kapperman for exams, office visits and contact lens services.

Crystal joined the team in 2008 after returning home from Nashville where she was an Optometric Assistant.
She works primarily with special testing such as visual fields and OCT and contact lens trainings.
